Trina Solar, a global leader in smart PV and energy storage solutions, announced its financial results for 2023 and the first quarter of 2024 on April 25. The company reported revenue of $16.09 billion (RMB 113.392 billion) for 2023, 27.26% more than in 2022, and module shipments of 65.21GW, 51.33% more than in 2022. By the end of 2023 Trina Solar delivered 20GW solar mounting systems and 5GWh DC container and energy storage system. This once again underlines its strong market competitiveness.</p>

Trina Solar's proprietary 210mm <em>n-</em>type i-TOPCon module has achieved a maximum power output of 740.6W, setting a new world record and certified by TÜV SÜD, according to its State Key Laboratory of PV Science and Technology in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. It is the 26th time that Trina Solar has set world records in PV module conversion efficiency and output power, underscoring its leadership in the PV industry.</p>

“The Vanguard IP is perfectly suited for the Vertex N 720W series modules,” said Guo Qi, product manager in the tracker division of Trina Solar, in a keynote speech to the webinar in March.</p>

“The combination of the two can lower CAPEX costs and LCOE and improve IRR compared with working with reference modules,” Guo said.</p>

A 100MW agrivoltaic farming project in Wanning, Hainan province, was connected to the grid in mid-February using Vertex N 720W series modules. Its average annual power generation is expected to be 133 GWh. The plant, one of the key agrivoltaic farming projects in Wanning and will be an exemplar of the PV + agriculture model, delivers both environmental benefits by building vegetable greenhouses beneath solar panels and social benefits by creating about 100 jobs for local farmers and enabling them to greatly increase income.</p>

N-type modules using i-TOPCon technology will dominate global production this year, and high-power modules such as the Vertex N 720W series will lead the way in the 700W+ era. Trina Solar globally unveiled its upgraded Vertex N 720W series modules, the Vertex N 625W and the Vertex S+, at the Tokyo PV Expo on February 28.</p>
