CHANGZHOU, China, Dec.10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL) ("Trina Solar" or the "Company"), a global leader in photovoltaic ("PV") modules, solutions, and services, is pleased to announce that it has signed a supply agreement with Toyo Engineering Corporation ("Toyo Engineering") to ship a total of 96.2 MW of solar modules to the Hosoe Mega Solar Project (the "Project"), which is developed by Pacifico Energy K.K. and expected to be the largest solar project in Kyushu, Japan. The modules will be shipped starting from the fourth quarter of 2016 till January, 2018. The Project will be constructed on 140 hectares of land where a golf course was originally planned. The project is expected to commence commercial operations in the spring of 2018 and generate clean energy for up to 30,000 households, delivering annual CO2 emission savings of 68,200 tons compared with coal-generated power.
